Dormant Accounts

Active Current Account

An account that has had at least one of the following transactions within a year: withdrawal, deposit, transfer, or electronic/in-person balance inquiry. These can be done through bank branches, communication channels, or available electronic means.

Dormant Current Account

An account that has not had any of the following transactions within a year: withdrawal, deposit, transfer, or electronic/in-person balance inquiry. Transactions made by the bank, such as fee deductions or interest credits, do not count towards activating the account.

Active Mobile Account

An account that has had at least one of the following transactions within a year: withdrawal, deposit, transfer, or electronic inquiry through the wallet or payment service providers.

Dormant Mobile Account

An account that has not had any of the following transactions within a year: withdrawal, deposit, transfer, or electronic inquiry.

Account Deactivation for Mobile Accounts (Feisal Cash)

The bank has the right to cancel a mobile account if the customer opened it through a branch but did not activate it or change the initial PIN within three months from the account opening date.

Active Investment Account

An account that has had at least one of the following transactions within two years: withdrawal, deposit, transfer, or electronic/in-person balance inquiry through bank branches, communication channels, or available electronic means.

Dormant Investment Account

An account that has not had any of the following transactions within two years: withdrawal, deposit, transfer, or electronic/in-person balance inquiry. Bank transactions like fee deductions or interest credits do not count towards activating the account.

Customers with Dormant Accounts

Customers whose all accounts at the bank are dormant.

Reactivating Dormant Accounts

If all a customer’s accounts become dormant, the customer's status changes to dormant. To reactivate, the customer must visit the nearest bank branch, authenticate the account balances, and submit a request to reactivate the accounts.

Alternative Reactivation Methods

Customers with other active accounts can reactivate a dormant account by contacting the unified number 19851, following identity verification procedures, or visiting the nearest branch.

Note on Dormant Accounts

The bank will continue to honor any checks drawn and execute any standing instructions on dormant accounts, but this does not count as reactivation of the account.

Account Closure

The bank has the right to close an account if its balance remains zero for a year and the customer does not reactivate it.
