• Check the expiry date of your debit card to ensure its validity during your stay abroad.
  • Make sure that your bank account has sufficient funds to cover all transactions or payments overseas.
  • Before you plan to travel, call your bank and tell the representative about your destination country and you are planning to use your debit card abroad in order to avoid the card block, as banks may suspend cards usage to protect their customers against any fraudulent activities or suspicious transactions.
  • Write down the Bank's contact details and keep them in a secure place.
  • Ensure that you have downloaded the Bank's mobile App."Faisal Online" on your phone to keep track of your card transactions and expenses during your trip, and also make sure that the app is activated.
  • Make sure that SMS service is activated on your phone so as to be notified of all transactions conducted on your account.
  • You should make any transaction by your card before traveling and inquire about the account balance either through an ATM or the Bank’s mobile App.
  • Faisal Bank will never ask you for confidential information to be shared or sent by phone or email. So, you should avoid clicking on untrusted links which are designed to trick you and collect your personal information. Whenever you receive such messages, contact the call center immediately (19851) and report the incident.


  • Do not give your cards or disclose your passwords to anyone. You should keep your cards in a secure place and also keep them away from direct sunlight in order to prevent any potential damage.
  • Check the ATMs carefully before using to see if any suspicious objects or devices are attached to any part of ATMs, which could be used to steal your card information.
  • You should always be careful about any help offered to you by someone while using ATMs or entering your PIN, even if he/she is wearing business attire similar to the Bank’s staff or security officer’s dress code in the country you are visiting.
  • Keep all your ATM transaction receipts, including any declined transactions, in case they are required by the bank (if necessary).
  • If your card has been captured by an ATM, do not leave the machine and contact the bank immediately to suspend the card usage on the following numbers: (+20221283100, +20221283200 or +20221233800).
  • Check the point of sale (POS) monitor to confirm the displayed amount of money you are going to pay before entering your PIN. After completing the transaction, check your account balance via the Bank's mobile App.
  • You should only use trusted and secure (Wi-Fi) services when you conduct any banking transaction.


  • Review all your banking transactions and keep track of your account balance during your stay abroad based on your account statement. In case of any discrepancies or suspicious transactions, you have to contact the call center (19851).
  • Change your card PIN as soon as you come back home by using any of the bank’s ATMs.
