  The Bank's Companies:    

Direct contribution in the capital of companies:
The bank itself directly invests part of its funds in establishing affiliate companies working in compliance with the rules of Shari'ah or contributes in the capital of such companies with other parties.
In this respect, the bank is keen on diversifying its direct investments portfolio in order to cover all fields of economic activity (agricultural - industrial - investment funds - Islamic banks - trade - services)

 along with giving special status to projects that are vital to the state's economy due to its crucial role in boosting the development of the country and offering job opportunities to citizens in addition to providing for the basic needs of the people. The bank's role related to these companies is not restricted to incorporation and participation in the capital only but extends also to providing funding requirements in accordance with the rules of Islamic Shari'ah. In this way, these companies largely contribute to opening new fields of activity for the bank which in turn helps increase the bank's ability to formulate and develop instruments of Islamic funding that require, under the current market conditions, great care in selecting the entrepreneurs.
In this regard, the bank has established (22 companies) in the new urban agglomerations which has significantly contributed to their development.
Number of the companies established and participated in by the bank amounts to (66) companies with total capitals amounting to (L.E. 4.602 billion, USD 1.201 billion, Sudanese Dinar 15.839 billion); standing for the equivalent to L.E. 11.9 billion as per the declared exchange rate as at 31/12/2006, with bank’s participation of L.E. 863.235 million of which an amount of L.E. 599.722 million is paid up.
